 Esta es una de esas canciones que te mencionan y no terminas de caer, pero seguro que vuestros papis, e incluso la mayoría de vosotros, nada más oirla os dais cuenta de que la habéis oído más de una vez. Si me equivoco es que me estoy haciendo mayor. En todo caso es un pedazo de canción y la voz de su intérprete, inconfundible. Como es una sugerencia de un ex-alumno y se su hermana (Laura, de 5ºA), de momento no os planteo actividades más allá de leerla y practicar la pronunciación. Eternal Flame (Bangles)

Si pincháis en el vínculo de abajo podréis ver el video de una de las mejores baladas en inglés jamás escritas, Eternal Flame (Llama eterna), de The Bangles, un grupo de pop-rock de California que estaba formado íntegramente por mujeres y hacía muy buena música. Esta canción la escuchaba yo en la radio allá por 1988, a mis 12 añitos, pero el tiempo no pasa por ella. Además, tiene la ventaja de que la pronunciación es muy clara, y la letra no es muy complicada.

En los próximos días modificaré este artículo para citaros los puntos de gramática que podéis reforzar escuchándola, y os plantearé alguna actividad para ayudaros a traducirla vosotros mismos. Pero de momento me conformo con que la escuchéis, la disfrutéis, y por qué no, que os atreváis a cantarla... ¡aunque sea en la intimidad

Videoclip: Night Boat to Cairo (Madness)

De vez en cuando subiré al blog algún videoclip que me parezca interesante o por lo menos divertido. Procuraré que sirvan para revisar la gramática, pero a veces ni si quiera eso. Y es que tenéis que saber que la música en inglés nos resulta muy muy útil para mejorar nuestra pronunciación, y si la canción nos gusta seguramente nos darán ganas de cantarla antes incluso de entender todo al detalle. Esta que os presento tiene la ventaja de que viene subtitulada en plan karaoke, y a parte el vídeo es divertido (¡o a mí me lo parece!). Pues nada, que lo disfrutéis.
